History

Lionstone was founded in August 2001 by Tom Bacon, Dan Dubrowski, and Glenn Lowenstein. They met and worked together for over 10 years at an international real estate firm, where they started many of the strategies still in place today. They were able to start Lionstone on a foundation of mutual trust and shared philosophy and purpose: focus on excellent investing while aligning capital with research and execution. The three principals of Lionstone have all of the skills necessary to successfully manage a leading institutional real estate investment firm. They are the sole owners of the firm, and comprise the entirety of the investment committee that reviews each potential investment.
