Wai Cheng McKenzie joined Lionstone in 2007 as a Vice President of the Lionstone Group. She is responsible for contract negotiations and the management of the financing and acquisitions within the Urban Core Investment program.

Prior to joining Lionstone, Wai Cheng was Associate Director of Acquisitions with Weingarten Realty Investors. Previously, she enjoyed a 20 year career with the international Hines real estate firm, ultimately serving as the officer responsible for the Hines’ $2 billion Mixed Use Portfolio.

During her tenure with Hines, Wai Cheng was also responsible for the financial operations and controllership of the Houston and Dallas Gallerias as well as Chevy Chase Pavilion, Canal Place and First Colony Mall. She was also involved in transaction structuring, asset management, asset repositioning, acquisitions and dispositions of partnership interests and real estate assets.

Wai Cheng is a graduate of the University of Alabama and a CPA (Texas).
